Its a fact

Long copy sales letters convert more prospects into buyers by as much as 40% over shorter texts.

That does not give you an excuse to write hypey text full of ‘salesy’ exaggeration.

Good sales copy is a story which focuses with laser like accuracy on the readers pain, frustrations and longing. Good sales copy is packed tight with killer verbs and short sentences. Not one word is wasted. The text is dynamic and moves quickly along. It is super-glued to the facts.

The jaundiced prospect in the ‘Make Money at home internet marketing space’ may still skim through the sub headlines to the price at the bottom of page 23. That is if you are still driving traffic using traditional PPC campaigns or poorly written email copy. They’ll just bounce on to the next silver bullet.

If you really want to seduce him or her into buying just turn your sales copy on its side. Go horizontal. Spin your story out over days or weeks. Tease your readers interest. Use mental triggers to create buzz and anticipation until finally they get to launch day. Then your shopping cart opens and BOOM!… Hungry buyers are whipping out their credit cards in seconds. They’re convinced. They know all they need to. They hit the order button on page 23 without reading a word of your carefully crafted sales copy.

No need… They have confidence in your company Value Proposition. You are obviously the go-to guy in your niche. You have answered every objection and delivered a crushing offer. They’d be mad not to take it.

Take the time to strike up a conversation. Be like-able and respond to the comments on your blog. Above all, be yourself. Give your prospects time to get to know you. They would far rather do business with someone they like and respect than be dumped on some stranger’s sales page.

Find out more about the horizontal sales page. Take 5 minutes to tell us about your product and what makes it special.
