The 7 figure Video Boss Launch by Andy Jenkins of Stompernet fame sold out in just a few hours thanks to his engaging videos and some powerful JV Partners. The number of emails sent to prospects was limited. The power of the launch was in the videos which produced more than 3000 comments on the launch blog.
Anyway, I call this the “Proof Video” because Andy concentrates on giving us his track record, illustrates his standing in the video marketing world by showing us some of his “Marquee Clients” then crushes any lingering doubts by showing us what Amazon and the New York Times do and say on the subject.
Provide PROOF and plenty of it in all its different flavors if you want to be as successful with your next launch as the Video Boss
Proof you can do it, Proof that your clients do it, Proof provided by your track record, Proof of powerful associations, Proof by the knowledge you display, Proof of media mentions, Proof by displaying honesty and integrity [remember all those jokey disclaimers], and Proof of the “Sinatra Test” [ if I can make it here, I can make it anywhere]
He brings himself back to the pain, fears and frustrations of his audience on a regular basis to demonstrate that he is listening to them and to answer their objections by producing 4 case studies and 2 videos made by ordinary folks which are ranked inside the top 10 by Google in competition with other powerful ‘professional’ websites.
Note… this launch is all about a product that will teach people how to become a ‘Video Boss” so virtually no messages were sent out by email. All the triggers, social proof, authority plays and humour were integrated into 4 videos. Moral of the story… Your launch marketing methods have to be congruent with the product you are selling…
