Doing a Product Launch is Probably The Best Shot You’ve Got

Developing your own digital product and launching it using the product launch process is is probably the best shot you’ve got of making money online

This may seem counter intuitive at first but consider this.

What appears at first to be the easy thing can in fact turn out to be the most difficult.

How so?

Well, take affiliate marketing for instance. The barrier to entry is low. There’s no product to develop. No customer service to provide. No sales funnel to develop. In fact, it’s so easy anyone can do it.

And that’s the problem…

The key is to disrupt the status quo. To launch a new business model in which the established brands will lose their advantage and be seen to be scrambling to catch up. You must have the first mover advantage

So whilst doing the easy thing – affiliate marketing – may appear the quickest way to make a buck, in fact, it is probably the most difficult.

Remember the parable of the tortoise and the hare ?

There once was a speedy hare who bragged about how fast he could run. Tired of hearing him boast, Slow and Steady, the tortoise, challenged him to a race. All the animals in the forest gathered to watch.

Hare ran down the road for a while and then and paused to rest. He looked back at Slow and Steady and cried out, “How do you expect to win this race when you are walking along at your slow, slow pace?”

Hare stretched himself out alongside the road and fell asleep, thinking, “There is plenty of time to relax.”

Slow and Steady walked and walked. He never, ever stopped until he came to the finish line.

The animals who were watching cheered so loudly for Tortoise, they woke up Hare.

Hare stretched and yawned and began to run again, but it was too late. Tortoise was over the line.

After that, Hare always reminded himself, “Don’t brag about your lightning pace, for Slow and Steady won the race!

Choosing what appears to be the easy option over slow and steady measurable progress may sound boring but it wins the race in the end.

That’s why doing a product launch is probably the most effective product marketing strategy on the planet. It allows you to define a product with the help of your core market and then quickly and effectively position yourself in a new or existing niche as the expert. And  disrupt the status quo as you go.

A product launch will give you a powerful first mover advantage and quickly establish you in a new market.
